Exclamation Turbo lag

I have a 06 f350 sd 6.0. Seems to have pretty bad turbo lag even after they replaced the turbo. Is there a fix as it is still under warranty. 27000 miles

I could think of a few things to do that might help with turbo lag, but none of which would be warrantied however. Best thing that you could actually do is roll into the acceleration and not try to put it to the floorboards.

Yeah, you're not going to be able to get much of a fix for the turbo lag without adding a tuner to the equation. Also this post would be better suited for the 6.0L forum.

Are you just mashing the pedal and waiting for it to kick in?

There is about one thing that I could think off that might help that he I don't think he would need a tuner for, but that's about it.

A tighter housing. Focuses the air a bit more, concentrates it in other words. The tighter it is, helps with the lag. One thing Matt and I were worried about with my turbo is if the injectors that I had would be able to help push the turbo and if it didn't we would have to have gone with a tighter housing. Luckily that wasn't the case, but that is about the only thing that I could think of that might, and I do mean might, help with the lag without have to go to a tuner.
