Being a 1 ton, it's 3.54 or 4.10, that's the only ratios that could be had for the D60 front, if it's a 2wd, it's probably still one of those two.
Yikes, 5.13's with anything bigger than a stock tire? My mud truck moves along quite well with 4.10's and 38's, that's with a 4 speed of course. Auto, I could see going down to 4.88 or so. 5+:1, I'd save for 44's...
My truck had 3.55's stock, so, I'm actually only out about 100 rpm at 65 from what it was. I don't plan on re-gearing unless I go to 40's or bigger, especially with the engine build I have planned(torque peak at 2500.)
For the OP, depending on tire size, intended use, and the existing gear ratio, it might be fine the way it is. If it's going to be an off road only rig that lives in 4-lo, 4.10's might suffice. On the other hand, if it's going to be a frequently driven rig running stock sized tires, he may want to swap up to 3.55's to try and salvage some fuel mileage.

So you have 3.55's and 37"s even goin to a 4.10 would make a big difference, are you running an oil burner thats the only thing i could think of so your truck aint a dog, or your trans has been regeared....
I have 37"s on my truck with 4.10 in the axles and i have the zf 5 speed. It aint gunna win any races, but it turns the tires... After i sas im goin 4.56 so i can have the power to turn the tires in the thick mud, with out having to rely on 4lo...
Im not really worried about the power to the ground, i want to be able to maintain some wheel speed. I can do some wheel speed but am wanting a little more... With the low range 1st in the zf im not to worried about power to the ground... I may change my mind before then as this will happen same time as the sas.
Re-read my post... My truck HAD 3.55's... I never drove it with the boggers on without the 4.10's under it. It will break the tires loose from a roll in second gear with the welded diff just by standing on it... On a Damp road, 3rd gear will produce the same results.
Wheeling wise, I found 4th-lo was the combo for racing, with my T19/1345 combo, it falls pretty much in the middle between 2nd and 3rd high range. I could probably run a bit faster if I did the 2-3 shift, but, I'd rather go a bit slower than have a blown shift... Trail riding, I run it in low range so I don't have to listen to the transmission(trans was run dry at some point, has a real nice gear whine in everything but 4th.)
Not quite an oil burner, but, it sure did smoke until the rings seated... LOL. Current engine is a slightly built 460(probably 350-375 hp,) new build is going to be a 545.
I try not to break my tires loose anymore... I learned that the rubber likes to leave the tire fast... But it will chirp on the shift from 1st to second and sometimes second to third depending on how hard im shifting...
Was there a tow option on it or anything like that? If so its probably 4.10 if not probably 3.55 Check the tag on the door for the axle code... See what that is come back and let us know... We can get the info you need with that code.
