HOW WOULD I KNOW WHAT YEAR AXEL I HAVE AND WHAT IT CAME OUT OF

DANA 44

If its a solid dana 44 its probably 79 or older if out of a ford truck. It would have come out of a bronco or f150. Check to see if theres a tag or some other sort of identifying marks on the diff cover.
