Hello all,
I was under the truck yesterday and noticed that the over load spring support thing since I don't know what it is so I am posting a pic of whats left of them.
Here's where it should go
I have been looking all over the net and can't find them.
So what I am looking for is a part number for the front 2 and the back 2.
Thanks again
Nick
I can tell you that the two front ones are mounted on top of the frame between the springs and the axle, they are call bump stops. I just replaced them on my EX. My local dealer found them (Part number YC3Z3020AA) they listed for 36.10 at the dealer. The back ones are part of the rear leaf springs, but I believe they are also called bump stops.
It seems the cure for this problem is the (V & B code springs mod) the distance between the frame and the axle isn't sufficant enough and they constantly pound the bump stops, which is part of the hard bounce going over speed bumps and like.
For the rear ones... Install "Landyot's Radius Rods". During installation of the RR's you must cut off the axle anti-wrap leaf extension. That way you don't have to buy the rubber bump stops.
I know how much you like adding mods to the 01.
FYI...

The thing you are calling an overload spring has nothing to do with the spring pack, or very little at least. It is there to prevent spring axle wrap due to the relative weak rear spring FORD put on the X.
