Hi Im new here and was wondering if sombody could help me with my truck. The problem Im having is my speedo insnt working. I replaced the vss and the cluster. When I put my scanner on and drive it it shows my speed. I think theres a broken wire from the ecm to the cluster. If I could get help with a wiring diagram that shows what wires makes the speedo work. everything else works in the gadge cluster.
Its has a 5.4L gas 2wd and stick trans.

could the gem modual be bad? does it run the speed odometer?

Make sure the wire that plugs into the VSS is making good contact and has no bad places in it. Common place for failure. Is everything else on the dash working?

everything else works on the dash the abs light is on I think that code was bd2477 I think that is a frount wheel sensor. the sensor in the rear end sends the signal for the speed odometer I think

just replaced the gem module and it didnt fix it. all the parts Are new from ford. They asked for the vin so the parts should be rite for the truck. To me there has to be a broken wire inside the dash. Does anybody have a wiring diagram for this truck?

Start at the rear axle and start tracing the wire forward. You may even want to pull your diff. cover and clean everything and change fluid. It could be gunked up enough to prevent the VSS from getting a signal. Make sure plug is in good shape.

took my truck to ford the found that the abs ecu needs replaced they estmated the repair at $974.56 Could I get a used abs pump with the module form the junk yard to fix this?

I sure others may have, but I have never heard of that. I would think a used one would work. Don't know much about the ABS system.

The ABS is seperate from the ECM. You can get a used ABS module, just ensure it has the same part number.
