Intermittent A/C, please help!!

I noticed after my truck was running for 15-20 minutes with the AC on the air would turn luke warm. After seeing this thread while at work i measured the air gap of the ac clutch and it was at .050! I shimmed the air gap back to .030 and now the AC is ice cold!! Thanks guys.
