Question any feedback on Lucas fuel treatment?

Talked to my neighbor that has a kennworth says he runs Lucas fuel treatment and it gives him better fuel milage. Do ya'll have any experience with it in the 7.3L?

Looks like I may have to make a forced trip up north soon due to that little disturbance in the gulf. its current forcast is to hit just to the east of me and Miller_Feed.

If the fuel treatment will help my milage I'll run it for sure, I need all the milage I can get.

Hello GS. Don't put anything in your oil. We have a different system.

We are about to leave this afternoon. We are in a volunteer evac today, mandatory tomorrow morning. Good luck, buddy. We will need it.

I am with You both as well. I got to get a few things done here and get out myself. Broke My leg 4 weeks ago and can't do much. My prayers are with everyone. I am not in the direct path at this time, but I am on the bad side of it. I am in Livingstone parish.

Good luck to both of you. May you and yours be safe. If when you get back home if you need anything, food, water, etc. Just let me know and I'll ship it out to you. I'll be keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

I hope you guys don't have to go through what you did last time. My prayers out to you and your familys.

I got some fuel treatment from work along with oil treatment. I used it in the wifes van and NOT the truck. The oil treatment did quiet down the lifters on cold starts, but didn't notice anything with the fuel treatment. Had a little hesitation and was told it would clear it up and didn't. For the price of it, I personaly would use something people on here have more experance with. JMO!!

I'm not a big Lucas fan, especially since I work for a competitor. But here is a fuel additive study that specifically focused on fuel lubrication with the new ULSD fuel we use. Lucas did not fair well and if I remember correctly they state it increases fuel lubricity on the bottle. Your better off with one of the top 8 on this list and many cost less per tank than Lucas. I use Schaeffer's.

I hate hurricane season. It doesn't matter where it goes, someone is affected. One of the downsides of Gulf Coast living. I hope everyone fairs OK from this one. Our prayers are with you also.

We didnt even need a hurricane to flood us out. Just a tropical storm. They need to figure how to pump the water into the lake so I could use my boat.

thanks for the info and the thoughts and prayers. We evac'd looks like we are going to get hit in a little while but its a glancing blow not the direct hit. just got back on line. been without cable tv, cell phone coverage, or internet. stayed at my mother in laws last night. will get back home asap. the truck ran great. my first long trip in it since i got it. got 16+ mpg not too bad with big tires and the lift.
