PA system help

just picked up a cobra cb radio/pa system. after pondering under the hood for a while on a good spot to mount the pa loud speaker, i didnt really find a good spot. any thoughts? its a 5 inch speaker if it makes a difference.....

I mounted mine to the bottom back side of the lower radiator support.

the elements didnt short it out or anything did it?

Firstly are you using an automotive PA speaker? I tried an outdoor speaker once and I had to add an amplifier to drive it.

I got one of them BIG warehouse speakers mounted to the under side of mine..to the frame rail.

I would say down by the frame rail on the passenger side. Just make sure you point it down a little so the water and crap will drain. No problem with my air horns down there.

I have a whelen 100 watt horn mounted to the floor of the passenger area right behind the plastic inner fender. My air horns are on the other side on the fram rail pointed a little bit down to keep water from staying in the horn.
