boost sensor?

boost sensor?
My check engine light came on while towing and my stock boost guage stopped working. I used my friends decoder and it said low boost. Boost sensor is bad. There is no loss of power and you can still hear the turbo. I was wondering what and were is the boost sensor? Has anybody had this problem?

The MAP sensor sits at the back of the engine compartment, under the cabin air intake vents and windshield wipers, etc. It is a small component with a hose connection and a 3 wire connection.
