15K miles hell, with as much surface area as this filter has, you can easily run 50-60K plus highway miles before the filter shows signs of "restriction" that merits you changing it. Maybe 15K down dusty country roads. Most people just change it when it turns gray because it's so cheap and a dirty filter looks ugly.
