I dont come around here much anymore. The build is where it was last time i posted in my build thread. Been hard gettin my uncle to come weld uo the front spring hangers. Maybe more tomorrow. I got a highboy last night on 39.5s that im gonna tinker with and get ready for winter
Pics or it didnt happen!
Yea im kinda on and off here. Been pretty dead.
thought i would come over and make sure people arent suggesting stacking blocks and hockey puck body lifts, cause i dont want that on the road, cause knowin my luck it would be me to get taken out when they wreck.
That abortion belongs to a friend of mine... I gave him hell about how he mounted the bottom of those springs(bolt welded to the 78 coil retainer, not even directly to the bucket... LOL,) they held up for a couple months of sitting in the yard, but, the first time it saw air it ended up as you see it, it spit the pass side coil right out... He did do his steering properly though...
It's now sitting on a F250 chassis with 44's under it bolted to an old school 44HD, awaiting a D60 for the front....
If you can't fit in a front drive shaft ..... reconsider using stock axles. Bacause nothing screams "I'm 'tarded" like a missing drive shaft.
Truckin, if you ever get over the the Tech campus you can see some great POS lifts under all the rich fratties trucks. I need to carry a camera around with me, just because there's so much crap sitting in the dorm parking lots. Gotta love 37s with IFS.
I want to get pictures of a SD I've seen in Lubbock, looks like a 250 with 53's mounted on 20's, stock axles, stock brakes, no front shaft, and stacked rear blocks (4 inchers over the stock 2 inchers), add-a-leaf until the packs are 8 inches thick ,and chitty custom chrome flames on the underside of the cab. I'm guessing he didn't regear it either. This tops the Dodge that had stacked front coil spacers, stacked rear blocks, no front shaft, and stock axles/brakes.
Ive seen that truck!!!!
Its got a big sticker in the back window... Some oil company, i dont remember what it was though, yea i saw that, its got lift blocks up front too.... I was at the bike park and i saw him pull up, i looked at it for a quick second, lauged my *** off and quickly left, cause i didnt wannt be any where near when that thing wrecks.
also, i rock 37" with my ttb. Dont hate! No just messin, gunna leave it like that until it breaks though, in the mean time im gettin ready for an sas... Are there any good places to wheel around here? Some of the farmers fields look real tempting to go and tear the **** outta, but i know it aint legal so i keep it on the road.
