Surging at idle

2001 Excursion with a full Banks Powerpak, AFE intake, Aero Turbine muffler.

When I start the truck, it will occassionally surge at idle like it's bouncing between high and low idle.

It's starting to do it more frequently. My "work around" for dealing with it until I figured out what was really wrong was to hold the throttle open enough until it stopped surging. When I did that the other day - it stalled.

Any ideas? Just had the cam position sensor changed from the recall - I was hoping that would fix it.

Have you tried puting it back to stock? Or take the banks stuff off and see if it is the banks that has a glitch it the program. Thats usually the first thing to do, in order to eleminate the tuner going wrong. .02

"Romps?"

Full Synthetic Shell Rotella-T. I think it's 5W-40.

OK - Did my Romps research.

I suppose this is relevant information: prior to this problem, a battery charger got left on the truck overnight set on high - cooked the batteries, and the truck sat for a couple days with no juice at all. Did I mess up a sensor, or just need to unplug something and let the computer reset?
