Surging at Idle
Trucks hasnt been Idling correctly since I bought it a couple of weeks ago. Its an intermittent surge and when it is surging the truck is extremely easy to stall. If I go into reverse it will stall or if I max out the steering angle it will stall. This morning I started the truck and it bellowed white smoke until it kicked down to a normal idle. CEL is burned out so no idea if I have any codes. Wanted to see what the masses say before I start troubleshooting this pig. Truck is an 89 351W.

Pull the codes....Thats the FIRST thing you should always do...
