Mirror Install

My Dad wants to replace his sport mirrors with tow mirrors on his 99. The new mirrors he got have the blinkers in them and are also heated. Does anyone know if there is any pre-existing wiring in there to wire them up?

does he have power mirrors? the wires will be there for the mirror controls, but not for the signals or the heat. you will have to run those.

what year is his truck? I think '03 and up may have what you need.

Nope, mine is an '03 and I had to make my own wiring for the lights and heat to work. I put the heat on a lighted rocker switch that the previous owner had installed on the dash that was no longer in use.

anyone have a wiring diagram for the '08 power folding/telescoping mirrors?

It is basically the same as in the link above, I believe. It is almost a straight up swap except you have to grind off a little tab to make the mirror sit flush.
