New Mirrors

I just purchased some 07 Lighted and heated mirrors from a 6.0 forum member who upgraded his to the 08s. I have a couple of questions, how hard are these to wire up to the truck with the existing plug, just spice them in and run a set to my switch for the heat & another wire for the running lights? I am going to get them painted white to match the truck along with my door handles for more of a KR look.

Secondly anyone with paddle mirrors wanting to upgrade to power tow mirrors send me a PM.

I'm not to sure on this one JD. I think that Jason (HKusp) did this. I may have the wiring diagram if you need it.

If you could PM me Jim that would be great, I think I'll give Jason a ring I had forgot that he finished wiring his in.

i had to install all the wiring on my truck. it didn't even have power mirrors to being with.

since you already have power mirrors, you can splice those in and run the extra wires for the running light, signal, and heat.

Sounds pretty simple then if its just a matter of splicing.

Heres a link I used to wire my '03. Dont know how much help it will be on your '00. I had the gray rectangle plugs on my '03 and they had plenty of room to add the wires for the heat and sig. I just went to ford and got the pins. The guy actually gave them to me. I think your '00 may have the round three wire plug, but I dont know. Heres the link. There is some other links in there too. I think.https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-all-done.html I ran my heat to a seperate switch.

I would say I have the round style connector with it being a 00 and your truck being set up when they first started releasing these mirrors. How are you like the 08 mirrors so far?

I love'm! The added view through the blind spot mirror is excelent. I do think they are a little boxy for our frontend stlye but I'll take it. Having heat is awsome, too. The markers and sigs are just added bonus and more costly because I had to get the recon smoked lens.

I love the view out of them as well I use an 08 F-250 at work with them but I cannot get use to the box style. Like I said I am going with a King Ranch look on the truck so the painted white 04-07 mirrors match it great .

I hacked the round pins off my old mirrors and installed on the 08's for the power mirror option, then took a 4 pin trailer plug/recept for the turn, running, and heat. WOrked out great. I have the 08 mirrors and love them. The box style has grown on me too.
