600 is not high, 700 is getting up there, for being empty

Mine is PRE turbo & runs 590-610 empty cruising on flat highway. I think a POST turbo gauge should read approx 50-100 lower but not 100% sure about that. If yours is reading higher than normal you might want to check your air filter, I noticed my egts were starting to creep up a few & found my pre filter on my AFE clogged with some kind of fuzz. Cleaned it & egts went back to normal.

Sounds high for post turbo. Any changes in boost numbers?

just came back from a 120 mile trip. Pre-Turbo temp was 575 to 695 at 70 mph with a dually, 4:10 rear end running "race" setting on the Edge Evo II.

My boost level is usually around 4psi while cruising on the highway, egt's around 600*......but I live at 7000ft elevation, tends to cause a little higher numbers.

I just re-read your original post. Those number are fairly high for POST turbo readings. If I'm correct.....I think pre and post numbers are usually 2-300* different. This would put you at 900-1000 if you had a pre-turbo probe. That's pretty high, looks like ya might have some leaks......

May I ask why you run the thermocouple post turbo?

I would recommend moving the thermocouple pre turbo.

A few years ago I moved mine back and forth to compare since one of my exhaust systems came with the bung on the downpipe. It was anywhere from 0-400* difference between the two depending on the load on the motor. Also, pre turbo reacts much faster than post turbo.
We know what the safe max. pre turbo temps are......hard to set a safe post turbo max since it varies based on load.
