This has happened twice to me in the last couple of months, 2005 f-250 6.0 the display does not come on at all until I recrank the truck? Now my brothers truck is doing it. I have had electonic problems before with a 97 f-150 and the service department told me they would have to have it hooked up to their computer when it happens. I quess what I'm asking has anybody else had this happen to them and do you know if it leaves some kind of code for the ford place to see if I bring it to them with the ac still working?

The head lamp trick worked on mine also. FWIW, since I got new batteries it has not happened. With the old batteries it happened about once per month. Coincidence?
