bad ignition coil

why does my ignition coil keeps goin bad on me. I replaced it once two weeks ago and now its crapped out on me again, what coudl cause this problem a fuilt in the spark plugs maybe, maybe the plug wires are bad, is my distributor cap or rotar bad, what could it be, is my timming causeing the problem mayube I need a completely new distributor, HELP PLEASE anything would help me

bad ignition coil

Have you done any rewiring on this truck as far as ignition switch to coil wire? The wire that runs from your ignition switch to your coil that provides 12V is a resistor wire or it will have a resistor in series with it. The reason for this is if you put the whole 12V from the battery to ignition coil (except during starting) you will burn up the coil.
