Looking to do some 18'' x 12 '' rocket rims with a 6'' back spacing on the rear. I'm using the original 8'' rear end, AOD transmission and a QA1 rear set up. Anyone know if these will fit without modifying the length of the the axle, housing and tubs? I think I'm going with 295x40x18 tires. Looking for gear and transmission ratios for a 347 stoker with 420 hp that I can drive long distances with power, fuel mileage and comfort. This built is testing my mechanical and monetary skills. I'm trying to finish the rear set up .

Nice work. Remember an AOD uses a TV cable or rod. So that would have to be installed. Have the AOD rebuilt so it can handle that power and how you will be driving it. And contact the tech line of whichever torque convertor brand you plan on using. They can assist you with picking the correct diameter and stall you need to purchase. Besides obvious questions, they will prolly want to know engine torque and horsepower, vehicle weight, rear gears, and maybe targeted engine RPM.
