Hey Matt, good to see you came on board. There's a good group of guy here, many of the same guys on the BB site but this site is a lot more active with a wider variety of tastes and interest. I'm not saying the BB is worse, just different.

I'm new here but I think you click on User CP at the top left of the page. Then on Edit Avatar. I haven't done this yet. I want to take a picture and post it. Good Luck

Don’t……….. if you can help it. With an amp gauge all the current going in or out of the charging system goes through the ammeter in series (read ticking bomb), a voltmeter in parallel is safer, it just measures the battery charging condition.

Matt,

The image below my name is in the signature. You have to go through the User CP area but instead of editting the avitar you edit the signature.

Well Howdy. Glad to have you on the board. I have 48-49 and plan to use the resistor to drop voltage,my buddy has done this on his 48 and it did great.
Best of luck to you, Mike

I forgot to add this link the other day;
Custom Dash - 1954 Pontiac - Do It Yourself Hot Rod Kustom Website

Its a link to a guy building a 54 Pontiac, he does some amazing things and has built a pretty cool gauge cluster using late model gauges from an early 80's Cutlass
