HU with AUX Function

I'm sure this has been covered here somewhere but I haven't found anything yet. My CD changer croaked on my 02 F-350. I am currently bidding on a brand new unit made in 2008 which is identical to mine except the COMP button is an AUX button for MP3 or satellite. On the vehicles that come equipped from the factory with MP3 capability, is there a cable that runs from the HU to a permanent port somewhere or how is this done? I am hoping to find a cable which allows me to hook up to an MP3, whether I permanently mount it somewhere or just let it hang down under the dash. Where do I get such a cable?

I have had several Ford rental cars supposedly with MP3, but never found a port to hook one up.

PAC, PIE, Peripherial, Axxis, and I am forgetting someone, all make factory integration parts. Most are either just a 3.5mm jack or an Ipod cable. I know on my 02 CD-DJ radio, the cd button is supposed to switch between the internal changer and an external changer, with an adapter from PAC, PIE, ect, I can use the external CD changer port to control my Ipod.
