Step 1 - do a search for "aux input" or "ipod" in the 04-05 F150 forum. Read the first few that pop up
Step 2 - (denial) - go check 5 other websites assuming ford-trucks users must have missed something. Be sure to check F150.net, PAC audio, and crutchfield.
Step 3 - Curse Ford as load as you can and throw stuff at your computer monitor
Step 4 - Welcome to the dissapointment club!
If you find a way... I've got a $100 bill with your name on it
I even tried soldering an RCA cable to the DVD input harness in my truck with no luck!
Someone will eventually figure it out, and could sell umteen kits at $99 each and never run out of buyers!
Hang in man, alot of people are working on this. I see you have the plug on the back, but I dont think any older Pie input will work. The radio uses CAN-BUSS Tech and nothing is out yet. I too am waiting like you for the day soon.
I just couldn't wait. I bought a Kenwood deck and a Sirius tuner in June. I kept the factory speakers, they sound fine.
The Sirius antenna is mounted on the rear roof by routing cable under the dash and down the left kick panel then through molding on the driver's side floor to the rear door. Out the rear door through the body rail to the outside of the rear wall. Then up the rear wall exterior around the rear window rubber and finally onto the roof.<O</O
No amp yet, but I am considering it. With the windows down cruising the freeway there isn't enough power in the HU without distorting.<O</O
