Been working on the truck all day..

And I'm tired. Still not done yet either. Between neighbors coming over to chat, employees coming by to pick up stuff, and me hurting myself over and over, I still don't quite have everything put back together.

Anyway, been replacing the intake plenums today with the ones from WOP.

At least I found the cause of my boost leak. I knew that the leak was on the passenger's side plenum, and I recently found that one of the clamps partially crushed it. What also happened was when it crushed, part of the plenum lost it's seal and separated from the head. So that's where my leak originated from.

I wasn't going to do a writeup, but when I'm done and test everything out, I'll write a quick blurb about how to change them out. It's not too bad, but there was one part that made me go "oh crap, now what" (had to call WOP to get the answer ).

Drinkin a beer right now and cooking some dinner.

Slight "gasket" dilemma on the plenum maybe?

I'm guessing a bolt that wouldn't come out all the way due to clearance, on the passengers side towards the front.

Well I look forward to that write up. I can just imagine. Seems simple enough but just a few more steps from boots R&R. Yeah right.

A few more steps...... yeah. Like removing the turbo, pedistal, fuel bowl, etc.

Just leave the fuel bowl off, go to parker store and get some hose and some fittings, (or a regulated return ). you've already got it off, LET THE MODDING BEGIN.....

BD, Curtis is well beyond the modding begin stage.

I was referring to the total boot replacement Curtis. That included the manifold to plenum ones.

I know Mike, I was just tryin to save him the steps of redisassembling to fuel bowl at a later date. Plus he's already got the pedistal off (makes it real easy to get to the rear fuel ports on the heads) Just tryin to help a brother out. (I know Curtis has done alot to his truck, but just cant remeber if hes done fuel system mods yet)

Well, I do have a regulated return, but still have the stock fuel bowl.

I had a mis-hap almost 2 years ago with the old fuel bowl and had to pay out the **** for a new one at the dealership (needed a replacement immediately). So I plan to get my money's worth out of this one before it hits the trash

Oh, and a regulated return actually makes the plenum swap a bit harder.

Hey, I'm still running the stock bowl. I need something to filter out the crap my Wal-mart $3 prepump filter misses and anything that may happen after the pump or if the pump grenades.
