Clutch fork removal from clutch rod ?
Removing from an older 3 speed flathead transmission, the fork has an approx 3/8" pin going through it. I worked it pretty good with a 3lb hammer and punch but only seemed to move a few mm's if that. (maybe a bigger hammer?)
Are there any tricks to use in removing it? I was hoping to save the pin to reuse, maybe I will just grind it down flush and try the hammer again. where would I find a new pin for a replacement?

Josh - chances are you couldn't save the pin no matter what - I do believe they are "peened", so fatter at both ends. Grinding and driving are probably the only option.
You should be able to get some cold-rolled rod that fits, and make one, then re-peen it in place.
One other thing on removing it - sometimes when they peen it, it widens the hole at the top, giving it an "hourglass" type shape, so it's even a little more difficult to get out. Sometimes I've had to drill into the pin 1/16" or so below the top of the hole, to get the diameter small enough to get out. But, like Dick said, there are NO pins that can't be taken out, just some take LOT'S more effort than others.
I'm getting prepared to remove the hinge pins...now, I've heard THAT is a real treat!!

I decided not to try getting mine out. Unless your bushing are shot there's no reason to. Even then it looked to me like you can slide the shaft to either side enough to replace the bushings.
As far as getting the pins out (same story on side-shifter levers) it appeared to me the trick is to do it without bending the shaft. Banging with a sledge is not a good idea, unless you can support the backside of the shaft. Seems like a motorcycle chain pin driver (c-clamp looking affair) of the correct size would be the ideal tool for it.

Nope, they're straight pins, like Roger said they are machine-peened at the ends. No one makes them anymore, a few places have NOS stock left. They are really pretty special, hard enough alloy to lock the fork but malleable enough to be peened. I was figuring to go back in with tapered pin on the shifter levers, the kind with a nut to draw them in tight.

got it out, sprayed it with PB blaster and kept on hitting it and it finnally came out, I dont think I bent the shaft. Thanks all.

Anyone know what a three speed like this would be worth? or if anyone needs any parts from this one? If not I'm going to take it in to the "Pick and Pull" for my $25 core credit for the T5 I pulled last week. thats why I wanted the clutch shaft and fork removed. anything else I should remove before taking it in?

I'd save the whole thing, if it's any good! Someone needed a release bearing hub and someone else needed the return spring, in recent months. The gears inside, if not all chipped up, are very saleable on eBay. The shifter assembly, too. The fact it has a PTO opening makes it of interest too, I thought only 4-sp's had that?

Well, maybe it is a 4 speed, I guess I was just assuming (I'm good at that )it is a three speed?? The shifter is stuck so I never really knew? The shifter has a little wire type rod going along it with a little lever at the top?? not sure what that's for either? anyone know?
Oh ya and its got a custom T-Handle (Made In Taiwan) LOL I might have to charge for that part, its probably rare! LOL

I'd keep it, if I were you - as was mentioned, if the gears are good inside, they'd be worth something to people. I had a tough time when I rebuilt mine, finding everything. If nothing else, at least take it apart, learn all you can about how it works, etc, check if anything is good inside, THEN make a decision what to do with it. I mean, if it's going to scrap anyway, might as well make it a learning experience!
