Removing a frozen roll pin on the Clutch master cylinder 84 E-150
What a project! I had to grind the bolts off to get the master to drop thru the floor and now it is time to remove the roll pin. I am trying to do this under the car because I don't want to remove the slave. I've got a pretty good place to work, with the master against the frame, a nut behind the roll pin so it has some place to go, proper sized pin punch and a big hammer, all I am doing is mushrooming the pin part of my punch! Any ideas?

If you are talking about the pin that holds the line into the cylinder....you can try an allen type wrench (small enough), and use the bent part in your hand to push really hard on. The right size will push all the way through the pin hole. Wear some good work gloves as well to help with leverage.....and pain.

I got it out with the help of some PB Blaster, letting it sit over night, the proper sized punch (1/8") and a BFH. Once the pin was out I had ro beat the master cylinder off the line, it was really stuck. Quite a bit of rust had collected on the hose end which froze everything up. It was a pain. I rebuilt some of the wore out linkage and added a plate to take out the flex in the floor, I how have a clutch that works.
