My rear driver side door has a problem with the lock. I looked at it and there is a plastic part that has some kind of weird bolt thingy holding it and I cant figure how to get it off. The plastic part that it is holding is a bracket that holds the cylinder that pushs a rod up and down to lock the door. The plastic bracket is broke and cylinder is just hanging down there not doing anything so when I hit the lock the cylinder just goes up and down. The weird bolt thing is at the bottom of the door and is hard to get to so I hope I dont have to fit a tool inside the door.
Cody, can you snap me a pic? I've got a couple of junk doors I took apart when i wanted to to power in No.3 but never did. I may have what you need. If I can't get you a turbo, maybe I can get you a door part. LOL And I'm sorry I didn't call you back. I've really been busy. I know that's no excuse, I suck.
Ya I waited and waited but you never called.....its ok it happins all the time. Im just messin with you. I asked my dad about how to get it off and he said his broke in his truck and it was under warranty and it looked like Ford just drilled it out and put a bolt threw it to hold the bracket. So I drilled it out. Im not good with pics on here but the part is a little white plastic piece that is shaped in a c and has two rubber grommets on it. It is mounted at the bottom of the door straight under the door handle. Il just stop by ford and pick one I wouldnt think it is to much put Im probably wrong!! LOL
Well, let me know. I remember having to drill that out when I stripped those doors. I think "I" even took a pic of it.........I'll have to see in the morning when I get off work.
I went to a Ford Stealership and they said in order to buy the bracket you had to buy the actuator and it was 200 F******g $!!!! But all I need is the plastic bracket.
