I dont have any instrument lights, nor do I have any cab marker lights, nor any running lights. I've looked all over the fuse box for a blown fuse, but cant find one. Am I missing something? Are all these lights on the same circuit? I can get the overhead light to come on with the dimmer switch, all the headlights, blinkers etc work. Any ideas?
I ran into this on a service truck a couple of months ago..
could be a bad headlamp switch..
and there was one other thing that may have caused it and for the life of me I can't remember what it is...
The brake lights run through the brake switch on the floor by the brake pedal. Almost all others run through the headlight switch. Like I said before check your grounds, battery ,frame, and any and all jumpers. A loose, broken, or corroded ground can cause havoc with the lighting system. If this is'nt it let us know and we will dig deeper for you!!
Thanks all of you for the help. I found the problem. There were two fuses that had burnt out, but not where you could see them by visually looking. I finally ended up ohming out all the fuses and found them that way. I have never had fuses blow, and not be able to look at them and see that. Kinda feel like I have a little egg on my face, ugh. Thanks guys.
From what I can tell, I think the trailer plug is causing this. Im going to tear that all apart and see. Maybe water got in there, corrosion, etc. Thanks again.
