Ok so it looks like I have an 8ll transmission, according to the plate.

RTX-14608ll

Now Ive never driven one before, so I have no idea if thats what it actually is, and im just not quite sure how to use the reductions, or if someone actually put a 15 speed into it.

For an 8ll does it have that first gear to the far laft at the bottom?

I think I stumbled upon one of those once if my memory serves me correct its like you stated - four in each range and one extra low but it could have been changed. Probably a google search for shift patterns, eaton, fuller roadranger, etc may turn up some info.

Yeah I did some googling and im not sure. I parked the w/s off to the side and couldnt take it for a drive today, because I dont wanna go and mud it all up and make ruts.

Ill have to do a little experimenting with it.

You must have got more rain than we did in the last few days, it`s dry enough around here not to cause any ruts.

Yeah we have gotten rain the last two nights. Im not complaining though, you should see the alfalfa skyrocket up!

Ok Im prety sure its an 8ll tranny in there. Took her out for a spin today and tried shifting her like a 10 speed and no go. I was in "5th"(if it was a 15) (far right bottom) and plunged, went over to "6th" (far left bottom) and there was no way it was going in.
