I use the leather treatment From King Ranch for my seats but they still fade.
What can you put on them to put leather color in them?
You may want to talk to a leather repair company. They have dies that you can use to bring back color in leather. The same die they used to color it in the first place.
I would also recommend the leather conditioners sold at Arizona Leather. It has animal fats which keeps real leather very supple. I have a 5 year old couch that looks branch new and is still very soft. I use the conditioner 2x year. The bottle is $69.95. The first bottle lasted me 4 years. For you truck, I would assume it will last 10 years as my couch is HUGE.
I have an '04 King Ranch and use Lexol Cleaner and Lexol Conditioner on it every few weeks. The seats will fade some (sunlight) and become scratched a little but these, as I understand from other owners, are characteristics of the leather. Just take care of the leather by cleaning and conditioning it as you already do and enjoy it! Don't worry about scuffs and color.
I use Neatsfoot oil generously applied 2-3x a year and that works good for me. But my truck sits in the garage and only gets driven a couple times a week(end). Just another .02
1. Use a leather conditioner that will darken the leather.
2. Use a leather conditioner that has die in it.
There is a custom leather conditioner that has die in it just for the king ranch truck, so evidently you're not the first person to ask.
Mine is still pretty much it's original adobe color and honestly I'd like to see it "weather" like a favorite saddle. Gives it that rich patina character.
With the neats foot oil does it streak or smear. My truck also sits in the barn and not used alot. But I keep a towel under my butt on the D/S and the rest of the leather has faded somewhat do to sitting in the sunlight when we have been out. Tore
[QUOTEWith the neats foot oil does it streak or smear.][/QUOTE] Not that I see. I put mine on liberally by pouring a little at a time on the seat then just rubbing it in with my hands. Tried it before with a rag but it still gets all over your hands- NBD. In the summer I can/have sprayed it on using an old smaller armorall bottle, but its kinda thick and you'll feel it in your fingers after pushing on that pump for awhile. Just try one at first, preferrably a back seat, and see how it turns out for you. It WILL look pretty dark for a day or so, so don't be scared. It will lighten up some. HTH- Tim BTW, there's nothing like the sweet smell of that leather when I open the drivers' door after not using the truck for a few days... SCHAAAWINGGGG!!!!
