Wanting king ranch leather for 04 lariat

I would like to put king ranch leather in my 04 cc lariat. The question I have is what is the easiest way to do it. I have found seats listed on ebay for around $1000 for front and rear.

Can I just have the seats recovered with the king ranch leather? I already have the heated power seats. The covers have to be sold to replace used ones.

Can an interrior place do it?

Yep, to just about all of the above. I've got the leather Lariat and priced a replacement lower for the driver side of mine. Roughly 300. large for it. Considering the replacement time and labor, the set on ebay would be a steal. Provided they are heated (and work) and power. The switch wouldn't be to bad but recovering would take time tools (hog ring pliers and soft jaw stretcher pliers maybe.) having them recovered by a shop at say 80 a hr. adds lots to the cost, but you would have your pick of available ford replacement colors. best wishes.

What about the cost to ship those seats? Might be cheaper to just re-cover yours with the KR leather. Something to look into.

The KR leather is called Castano leather. Tell your local upholstry place that you want this on your seats. If they don't know what it is, move on. Also, if you feel like shipping, or you are driving through texas, I know for a fact that qualitex.com will do the KR clone seat covers for you. They will look the same less the KR emblem.

I'm not really worried about the emblems. I just love the look of that leather. I looked at a KR before I bought my truck. They just wouldn't get right on the price. I love my 04.

Thanks for the name of the leather.

I have a ton of leather experience. If you don't care about the emblems that makes it a lot easier. If you are fairly handy you can do it yourself or you could just make a road trip here and we can do it in a day in my garage.

Thanks I would love to make a road trip to Pa. but I don't know when I could.

Have you checked out the chapter sections further down? There is a lot of people here on FTE from the New England region. The Delaware chapter is the most active chapter on here. Check it out here https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum182/ That is the pa chapter.
