flairless adaptor leaking

I used a 5/16" IIRC flairless compression adaptor to connect the return line from from my regulator to the stock return line and it leaks. Does anyone have any experiance with these and not getting them to leak?

How far on the tube is the ferrule? Is the tubing straight in the fitting or cocked? The ferrule needs to be down the tube about 1/8" and not sealing right at the end of the tubing.

Make sure that the ferrule isn't nicked. I have had a few that have leaked due to that.
