I am looking for an adaptor that would allow me to lose the stock spin on adaptor in favor of a hose adaptor, for use with a oil cooler and remote filter. I found one on the web but lost the address. Anyone know where I can get one?
Just to be clear: I want to run hose directly from the block. using a adaptor made for npt fittings.
Thanks.
Trans-dapt used to make what you're looking for. I bought one on ebay last year. Bolts on in place of the oil filter adapter, and has two 1/2 NPT ports. You could also have one made from a solid block of aluminum locally by a machinist if you really want one and can't get it.
PAW used to list it in their catalog, but when I tried to order it, they didn't have them in stock. ( like a lot of their stuff) I'll sell mine for the right price
Not the same thing. The FE block adapter he's talking about doesn't screw onto the filter boss, it bolts in place of the filter adpater itself. You cannot screw anything other than two 1/2 NPT fittings into it. The filter mounts somewhere else entirely.
The adaptor for the oil filter I have now is leaking around the area where it mounts to the block. It needs resurfaceing or replacing anyway.
Thanks for the feedback.
semd me a e-mail with the price
