What are we suppose to call the smooth side bedded trucks then? Just nothing but a pickup? If the one with the small box & fenders on the outside are Flaresides? Sorry for sounding stupid here

Doc that would be awesome if you could, id really appreciate it. Also i could be wrong but styleside or fleetside is your regular run of the mill wide box bed.
hey doc, IMO it looks ALOT better than the 73-79 flaresides. i am for the looks of a styleside but when it comes to flaresides, the 73-79's are just down right ugly, the 80's bed on there looks pretty good, again, just my opinion.

I really appreciate the kind words. In my opinion my old piece of junk does look a little better than the original style flare side, however something about a dent side just doesn't work with any flare side bed. It's my honest opinion a ford is just built for a style side bed.
On a side note....once I put the rear bumper on it and got the old roadster body out of the back....it does look better, but maybe that's just the beer talking.
I'll add better pics later on.
Mike
Doc, that bed does look really nice on there. Nice truck.
It looks much better on there than a 80s styleside bed. I don't care for the looks of the one that 76SCS posted. I think flatbeds look better than trying to mate up a styleside bed. Bodylines are all off and just looks kinda goofy. But, the flareside bed looks really good, IMO.
Thanks a bunch for the compliments guys. I have made a lot of mods to it and have a lot of work in it.
Started out as a 240 and 3 speed and no other options.
It now has 460, c6 automatic, dual exhaust with flowmasters, (you should hear it) traction lock rear axle, P/S, P/B, A/C, Cruise control, locking hood, the head light relay upgrade, intermitant wipers, along with AM/FM CD.
Also has all the necessary stuff done like completely rebuilt brake system and front end. Still have more to do, but it's not bad for a 73.
I did everything my self except for painting it.
Pidaster....modifications over all......or just to get the bed on it?
Doc.
Hmm it doesnt look bad, but to be honest it doesnt look quite as good as i pictured... might as well go with mine as i already have it i guess, thanks for the pics, and nice truck
