lately it seems like its never gonna end. i've had to replace something on my truck once a month. got a 99psd. anyway now when i turn the steering wheel the left front wheel squells, but only when its being turned. when i'm driving straight i don't hear it, engine might be draining out the noise alittle. and its only the left side, it this bearings? if i'm parked with engine running i hear it good when turning the wheel and the past few days it seems to be getting louder. any ideas!
Does the sound change with speed? You need to make sure it's a wheel issue and not a power steering one. Making the noise while you're parked sounds more like it's related to the power steering than the wheel bearings. Have you ever flushed your fluid? It may be worth a shot.
popped a power steering hose 2 months ago, drove it maybe 50 feet with no fluid. the squelling was so loud after i replaced the hose that i did a flush. noise quieted down a little but still there with the brake booster. anytime i touch the pedal or turn the wheel it whines, and has gotten louder with time-know it squels when i turn it. thanks 350-6 that sounds right. it sounds when parked so probably not bearings. i'll have to look into the pump now. anyone got a ballpark price for one?
it seems like i've been doing alot of (replacing of parts) the past year. its got me thinking !!!!hmmmmm
