compressor not running

1994 Bronco. Compressor won't run and it seems to have enough freon in system. Someone mentioned a pressure switch and it might be bad. Any ideas on what to do before I have to take it to the service station. Thanks.

Are you sure there is enough freon? and how do you know? That is usually the first reason for the compressor to stop running. There is a low pressure cutoff switch in the line up near the evaporator which you can bypass and see if compressor turns on. You may have a fuse gone as well. I have also seen the dash switches go bad to and can cause your problem..good luck.
