Hi If you've ever taken the gearlever out ,theres a good chance you broke the little hooks off the locking cup that holds the gearlever down and keeps it from popping out.
So has anyone got a clever way to fix this,or must would weld these small things back on.
Ok I think your looking for the snap ring that holds the gear selector in place? If so you can buy these parts find a tranny shop that rebuilds NP435 and show them what you need. Or check a sponsor.
Thanks ,did search but no luck.Im in South Africa so parts arent readily available.I did gas weld the pieces back and its cool.Did that before too and worked. My gas was finished so wanted to know if anyone made a good macgyver. Its so cheap there ,you probably would bother just buy one. Thanks army.
Yeah I guess in South Africa it might be hard to find if you need one get a pic and I will search the parts catalog and send one your way shouldn'd be more then a few bucks.
I did the same thing on my old one, it took me forever to figure out how the damn thing comes off, my dumb *** ended up getting pissed and snapping those things.
Luckily, np435s are still pretty common and cheap at salvage yards. I got a new one for $50.
