I think we have kawtiper to thank for this :
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/7...d-diesels.html

It always amazes me that people want to argue with tech's who are offering their time and expertise for free to users of this site. We have lost a lot of helpful and knowledgable people because of this kind of BS.

Sorry to see you go, vloney, but I can't say as I blame you.

It takes two to tango. If I left everytime someone on FTE and I didn't see eye to eye, I would have been gone a long time ago.

Hey Vloney "Don't let some Jackass chase you away". Looks like they don't have the capacity to realize that they pushed the issue too far. Your expertise has been, and should continue to be an asset to this site......Nippy

Hate to see you go even though I can't say that I blame you. Folks like you are a tremendous asset to sights such as these to weed through the BS rumors.

We went through this in the 6.0 Forum last year and in late '06.

Most guys appreciated the Techs helping out. Then you get a few knuckleheads that think they've got it all figured out and they choose to spar when they could debate constructively. Guys like that managed to irritate at least 6 Techs!

Sorry to see you go Vince.... you're certainly welcome in the 6.0 Forum and I'm sure the 6.4 guys would like to see you hang around as well!

I would agree. Any repairs VIN related have been posted, and if your truck falls outside the date listed there is not much one can do.........but argue.

Vince, I fully understand.

Dont leave us hanging Vloney. 99% of us want/need you here. Millions of us have to show a drivers license when we write a good check because of a few dirt bags that wrote bad checks. Dont let the 1% keep you away from the 99%. Its hard to sense someones tone in an e-mail or post (BTW, this is why I usually thank you for your input if I am questioning something). I agree that the post in question got in to a pizzing match over "opinions" and I dont blame you for walking away from it. I just hope you dont walk away from the whole forum. That I have seen, no one questions your skills and/or technical knowledge so if someone disagrees with an opinion or wants to make a technical issue a personal issue then screw them. The rest of us still love ya brother!!
