Turned 48 yesterday was looking forward to my second childhood, wife says I haven't left my first one yet. Some days I'm down, most days up. Depends on how much gets dumped in my lap to fix. Kids rarely talk to dad for advice before they got into trouble, but guess who bails everyone out? I fiqure on riding bikes into my 80's and cruising the loop anytime I feel like it. 'Sides gotta teach my granddaughter to hunt, fish, ride and wrench. No point in being down when I have that to look forward to.
I was beginning to feel a bit faded but then had a baby at 42. Not me of course. Now I don't see slowing done as an option. Probably for the best.
I don't feel quite as strong as I used to but my ability to work through pain has never been greater.
Absolutely not!
Just as bright eyed and energetic as the day I hit puberty. Course I'm only 36 and to me that is far from being old and worn out. I had a great grandmother that passed away at 108, and she married her third husband on her 100th birthday.
i was starting to feel a little to old for my age... only took a rock concert last sunday to get me feeling young again!! now time to get some tatoos and peircings!! haha yea right. but feeling good none the less.
I think I'm broken. Bad knees, torn ligament in right shoulder, post concusion syndrome, bad kne..oh I typed that already, I forgot. Like Chris LeDoux says, "It ain't the years, it's the miles".
(Other Bower here)
Things started breaking for me a couple years ago. Manual labor does that I guess. Physically I'm more worn out than I should be, but mentally I've never been happier.
Saw the doc today- he said to get my head examined. (!!!)
I know I'm not all there, but he wants to do an MRT scan. More like an echo chamber? Ha ha. Seriously, anyone had this done? I'm a little nervous that they'll actually find something wrong.
