No topic thread,,, Part 2
If I was in the market for a cruiser I wouldnt be afraid of a suzi, yami, or a honda, like teh shadowish type bikes, they are pretty sweet.
I couldn't agree more with you on the shadows. There are a couple for sale every now and then on Kijiji or UsedRegina. Can't wait until I get out of school...
I think the first thing I'm doing is buying a shadow. They're amazing bikes...
Ever wonder why you never see one for sale? hahahaha, it's cause they're classy and a VERY VERY well-backed bike as for comfort and the amount of miles you cna put on them before they're even "broken in".
I just can't wait....
Pretty soon we'll all be doing this again...
What`s everyone up to on such nice day like this?
How`s your weather Tim, no floods or drought?
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
Oh and since Im asking ya stuff, whats happening with the Ram?!?!?! Ya get your diesel yet?!?!
Tim, hows it going? welcome to the no topic thread for sask! When guys arent whining about the weather, its a pretty cool thread

My wife and I have one bike each, and they rarely get used both at once, so 95% of the time there's a bike in the garage with a plate on it not getting used. Total waste of a bike, and waste of money. I'm condensing to one bike, a comfortable bike that we can both tour/cruise on, but yet something that fits me as a solo rider, and perhaps something that I can include my girls as they get older.
The Harley Davidson bikes have pretty much everything I want. Loads of character, great aftermarket support, great dealer support, incredible resale value. It was just a matter of finding which one I wanted. I tried out 4 bikes. An '08 Fat Boy, '08 Heritage Soft Tail, '05 Ultra Classic Electra Glide, and lastly a '06 Road Glide. They are all great bikes, with the '08 Heritage being the lowest in my choice, but mainly due to modifications that the PO had done making it a obnoxiously loud. I will be purchasing a Fat Boy, unsure of year, I feel there is better deals to be had than the specific bikes I test drove.
On the truck side of things, I still haven't recieved my Ram, it should show up this week. I'm thinking I may not take it now with the retarded price of fuel. I am going to test drive a Ecoboost F150 on Tuesday and see how it measures up, and if it will satisfy my needs. Lower price, better fuel economy.
They are the worst bikes out on the market at the moment. The newer HD's (from what I've heard), have nothing but trouble.
They are what I call an 80/20 bike. 80% of the time spent in the shop, 20% spent on the road....
If you want style and comfort with a bike that will last ages, go with suzuki. They're rated top in quality for a reason.
Just my $.02
One thing I will say is that the HD's seem to attract many "questionable" characters, but there are just as many or more reputable folk like myself who have them because of the character in the beast, and many other qualities that come with the brand...
Do some research... they're just as good as(after much education I feel better) Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, or Yamaha ever have been or will be.
