For some reason or other I`d still take American iron over the others.
Sorry to tell you Morris Toyota has the most American Iron than the big three. the big three farm so many parts to Mexico and offshore and Toyota is like 98% made in the USA.
The total profits are not sent over seas. The profits are sent to the shareholders, all over the world, just like any other global company that produces anything from toothpaste to automobiles. (including ford)
Cold hard truth is now a days Some "foreign" vehicles are alot more domestic then alot of fords are.
This aint the 1930's guys, times and companies change. They are no longer controlled overseas either. There are north american divisions of those at one time "foreign" companies that are controlled right in north america.
Im also not trying to change anyones likes and dislikes, but some of the information and peoples opinions are so far from the truth, it really is laughable!

get us some cold hard facts on this. both you and prep. some may be assembled here, but i'd almost bet that 99% of the parts are manufactured in asia.

Ill take that bet any day.
Ive read a ton of articles over the years that have stated that info. Google is your friend, if you can sort through all the BS, (hint dont take info from toyota forums, or ford forums as cold hard truths)
You know how a huge global company works right? They get parts from the cheapest to them places, and use those in their vehicles. Keeps cost per vehicle to a minimum, hence more profit for them. ALL manufacturers do this, not just Toyota or Ford.
The days of a ford being 100 percent american, or a yota being 100 percent Japanese, are LOOOONNNGGGG gone. (again google is your friend!)

Absolutely correct, when it comes to the bottom line, the cheapest supplier gets the brass ring.
