Good evening folks
I know its a bit early in the year, but I havent seen that much flying south. Theres definitely a flight path overhead as we hear the geese and ducks day in and out when they head south but so far this year theres been nothing.
Showers forecast starting tonite into tomorrow then flurries for a couple of days after that. Looks like this week is a write off.
The geese started honking around here about 3 weeks or so ago Perry, makes me real nervous getting an early winter.
Really wet here today after 24 hours of rain. I have been reading here to find out how everyone is doing. It has been a busy summer and I finally got to take the Merc to town for coffee. She starts, runs and stops great. There is body work to do but I intend just to drive it and enjoy it for now. I put a rear end out of a 72 f100 in it. The gear ratio seems to pencil out about 3.23:1. I still can start out in second with no problem and first gear is more useful now as well as it cruises on the highway real nice. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/a...1&d=1475600156
Good day folks.
It`s getting wet here too Grant, I`m not looking forward to the snow that`s coming our way.
Sweet ride Reg, it brings a big smile to my face. You must have a 4 speed in it, I don`t think that would work in my 53 M100 with only the 3 speed.
Thanks Morris, there is a 4 speed in it alright. I believe you are right Morris, the gear ratio would be too much for a 3 speed. Starting in second on the level works fine but if there is an uphill start I usually use first gear.
While I`d love to change up the rear axle I don`t really want to put a 4 speed in mine. An AOD would be cool but getting away from stock and of course quite costly.
Back at you John, have a good evening, we`re sitting here watching the rain.
we are due for snow but so far it`s only been a few flurries, just enough to shake me up. My wife is with her very sick brother in south east Saskatchewan which makes me very uneasy tonight.
It`s not a Golden Jubilee but an 850 tractor Jeffrey, so very similar that I`m not sure of all the minor differences. Do you have any pics of your Golden Jubilee?
