Not sure of my family history past 1900 , 1920 . My Father was born on this farm in 1920 , My Aunt in 1900 . Other than listings in the family Bible , not much is known of earlier times . I think the closest filming of that movie was around the Chattanooga area , about 60 miles away . My area is not the hillbilly inbred area shown in films . More of a farming , bible belt area . More Churches than you can count . Gently rolling hills , farmland and woods . Good place to live .
Thank you for answering and not taking these questions negatively. Your neck of the woods sounds like a good place to raise a family.
About 3-4 hours drive time on the interstate . Closer tho is Mount Eagle and Tracy City . Bad area in those parts .... Best to Know where the Banjos play ....
Morning everyone... First day of school for my eldest. Shes in grade 1 now, so its all day-every day for the first time. Only 11 more years...lol
TJ...you seem to dwell on the inbred/banjo idea quite a bit. Hiding some goofy schniznit in your closet bro?
Small town/country living is the best. Kids can grow up with opportunity to be kids, learn a different set of life skills than that of city folk. Not knocking anyone's lifestyle...just saying.
Morning Folks...Looks like a damp one for us today. It was supposed to be 35-45mm, but thats been backed off now to 10-15mm... Farmers should be a little relieved, though it would have been better for them to have a real dry spell right now.
Happy Hump Day mornin'all. Damp and foggy this morning. School starts tomorrow.g Jordan made the football team at school. He's never played before, so he's pretty excited. Have a great day guy's.
