Red face Top steering column bearing

I need to replace to the top bearing on my steering column. I went to couple of parts houses and they can't find a part number. I recall a post not to long ago about this same issue. But I can't remember what it was called. Does anybody have a idea the part number for this bearing?
Thanks Seafire

What year is it?

Please...when asking questions, list ALL the pertinent info.

1961/72 F100/350 2WD/4WD / The following parts are STILL available from Ford.

C3DZ3517A .. Upper/Lower Steering Column Bearing

MSRP: $3.97 / ftepartsguy.com price: $2.86

B1AZ3518A .. Upper/Lower Steering Column Bearing Retainer

MSRP: $3.21 / ftepartsguy.com price: $2.32

FTE sponsor: ftepartsguy = Ed Olson @ Parr Ford in Bremerton WA.

These two parts also fit: 1966/77 Bronco / 1960/64 Falcon/Fairlane/Comet / 1965/66 Mustang, and many others.

Also available from NAPA, indie autoparts stores.

BTW: About 20 dealers in WA & Oregon have stock, one dealer in Idaho has 3 (Salmon River Ford), No dealer in HI has any.

In this case it didn't matter, because the bearing/retainer fits 'em all thru 1972, some 1973/79's.

Any degree of difficulty in changing these bearings? I hear a clunk from my 1972 F250 4X4 non/PS column when I make hard turns and suspect it may be the upper bearing by the sound of it but I have never looked inside to see what the bearing looks like or where it sits. Thanks!

The upper is EZ to change once you pull the steering wheel, it's in the top side of the upper flange (the part above the shift collar).

The other is at the bottom of the column, so it has to be removed.
