Yeah! How dare they, running around, planting elms in peoples yards! Disgraceful!!!
Do you guys have those damn things in Nebraska Pat? The elms not the Chinese.
They are horrible. And nearly impossible to kill. I went to war with this one a while back, and it refuses to die.
yep been raining all morning ......and no did not hear about the fire!!!
Aint gotten anything here. It keeps spitting a little, but it just can't quite get going.
I can't find anything on the fire anywhere. You would think that if the television station was going to put a banner across the bottom of their screen they would at least carry a story about it.
CHIMAYÓ, N.M. (KRQE) - Firefighters say there is significant smoke damage to a historic Chimayó restaurant after it caught fire just before midnight.
Fire units from six agencies near the town responded to the blaze at the Rancho de Chimayó, which was called in a minute before midnight Thursday night, according to Santa Fe County Assistant Fire Chief John Wheeler.
The fire was contained by 3 a.m.
"Right now, the damage is contained in the southwest corner of the building," said Mike Neely of the Santa Fe County Fire Department. "However, there is extensive smoke damage throughout the rest of the building."
Fire officials are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
The restaurant attracts about 300,000 visitors a year, according to its Web site.
The original home was built in 1886, and converted to a restaurant in 1965

I've thought about chaining it to the back of the truck, and pulling out of the ground, but somebody told me the taproot on the thing is probably 40-50 feet long. I'd hate to yank out all of the plumbing.
Between Chinese Elms, Salt Cedar, and Russian Olives I have a permanent fitness regimen- Chopping them out with a Pulaski. The little ones get a LAST look at my brush hog on the back of my NAA tractor...
Russian Olives I can live with. I have them all along my fence in the backyard. They kind of remind me of the Mesquite trees in south Texas. The thorns on both are great deterrents.

Reason: Boy I really can't spell
As of about 30 minutes ago, my truck lives again! Cranked her over twice for about 30 seconds each (with coil unplugged) to fill the fuel bowls and check float levels. Then I reattached the coil, started cranking, stepped on the gas so the accelerator pumps would give it a boost, and she sprang into life! Idles beautifully at 800rpm (perfect!) Runs better than it ever has! All this is with NO tuning on the brand new carb whatsoever. After I let her idle for about a minute, I killed the ignition, and found that I forgot to put thread sealant on one of my AN fuel fittings: gas was all over the intake manifold. Well the project will continue tomorrow!
Hope you guys are having exciting summers as well!

Not quite as exciting as fuel all over the intake!
