Congrats on 700 Steve! I was an Aviation Hydraulics/Structures mech. from 85-89. We have a ton of former bubble heads here at the plant, since they like hiring ex-Navy nukes. I'm making an assumption, but sealboy, was that his former military proffession?
Then you should feel at home, if there was not atleast 2 inches in the bilge on a 688 you started to worry !!
I think that the engineers designed them that way. It's kind of like the leveling system on an RV... Or maybe they use it as a level indicator... " four inches showing to port, adjust two degrees to starbord..."

Pretty good, I'm just trying to avoid getting a bunch projects in before deadline. If I get them in early the boss just gives me more to do next week, so I'll turn everything in about 5 minutes late...
Just kidding, we have a small lull before the storm. We have about 4 installations going on right now and when everybody gets back, then the punch lists come in, and everybody gets to figure out why this or that didn't work. I may be out of the country for part of next month. We are doing a resort in Peru, and I may get to go and do some initial sketches of the property.

Pat, those are hilarious. I should tell my wife about the remedy for high blood pressure, then we could stop paying the ridiculous prices for her meds.

No my wife gave me the nickname because of my puppydog eyes and my cuteness.
Actually you assumed correctly. They tried for years to medically retire me but I was able to hold on for almost 10 years.
Randy, if I go it won't be until late next month. So the g2g should still be on for me.
Pat,
I was in around the same time you were, '84-'93, I did some time on the Enterprise, and the Kitty.
Now I work for my parents Architectural-Interior design firm. I do almost all of the Photoshop, Powerpoint, and Indesign work for them as well as any desktop publishing that they might have. I also do some CAD work, but I am still learning. I get almost as excited about the specs on our new printer as I do about new parts that I see for my 7.3.
I was out on Enterprise with our squadron, I want to say around spring of 87. I was in a training squadron (VA-122) for the A-7 Corsair. I was only on for 12 days, though.
I've been trying to talk my brother into teaching me CAD. I've seen some of the stuff he does, and I'd like to play around with it.
