50-100 before you have to do a oil change??

 

Good afternoon Randy and New Mexico. Busy morning, it's taking me a while to get around today. 100K before an oil change??? I don't know if I could let myself go that far without changing the oil!

Now that has got to be some chainsaw.

 

Morning all. I made a quick trip down to the old homestead. (Kingsville, TX) My grand parents are still alive and kicking down there. I had to make sure that they were ready for the hurricane that is gonna make landfall about an hour and a half south of them.
Did a little boarding up on the big windows in the front of the house, so they should be OK. I asked the neighbor to make sure that it gets un-boarded in a few days. Man am I gald that I don't have to worry about storms like that anymore.

I'll try it. I'm not saying that I'll go 50k before I change my oil, but I'll run it in my truck.

 

I think 50K is pushing it.

 

Thanks Randy, Like I said they are quite a ways from the main storm, but they will probably get 10-12" of rain. The wind won't be too bad, I don't think, but they have some really big old trees in the front of the house, that is the reason for the plywood on the windows.
Steve, I bought my truck in early May (I think) and I have changed the oil twice and I'm about to do it again. Granted I've put nearly 7000 miles on it, but I don't think I've ever let any of my vehicles go more than 4k before I changed the oil, so yeah, 50,000 miles would be pushing the envelope.
