I can't complain. We have been swamped at work, installed a restaurant that we designed.
My poor Grandmother... It must be nice (or maybe not ) to live your life just oblivious to all the crap going on around you.
I called them today to see how they had fared during the storm. She was very happy to hear from me, even though she hadn't heard from me in a month. (I was just there boarding up the house.) I didn't press the issue.
I asked her how everything had gone during the hurricane. She asked, "we're having a hurricane? It sure has been raining a lot, but I didn't know we were having a hurricane."
A couple of months ago she had surgery on her eye, and I called the same day to ask how it had gone. She yelled over her shoulder (with a patch on her eye) "Ray, did I have surgery today?"
I wonder if elderly people realize that they are getting that way.
Anyhow I didn't mean to get so depressing. MY life is pretty good
Jay...Dementia can be an awful thing...make sure your grandmother gets the support that she needs...and provide her with all the love you can!!! She needs you!!!
Morning everyone. Sorry to hear about your grandmother, Mine is going throught the same thing. Atleast she does not drive anymore.
The scary thing is that mine does drive. She got pulled over a month or so ago, and the police had to call someone to come get her, 'cause she didn't know how to get home.
