Door Keypad Not working

I just bought an 05 F250. I researched and found where the keypad numbers was located. I've tried numerous times to use the numbers but it will not unlock the doors. I can press the last 2 buttons and it locks the doors. I've tried to erase any special codes but that doesn't help. Anybody knows what i'm doing wrong or what to do? Thanks Lil John

when i bought my X, the dealer pulled the factory code and also the second code that was added by the previous owner. i then erased the second code and programmed my own. the factory code still works as well and that one can not be removed or erased. they did it for free. took like 3 minutes.

I'm asuming you mean that you found the numbers on the sticker and are trying to use them. If they do not work, then it is possible that the electronic module that holds the code (can't remember if it's the PCM or GEM) was replaced. When they replace that it comes with it's own code that is different from the one on the sticker. If this has happened the only way to get the code is to have a dealer read it off the trucks computer.

On the 05-up Super Duty, if you got remote keyless entry you automatically got the hardwired keypad on the door. Before 05 it was a separate option.

I went to the dealer with my 04 F250 and they pluged it in and got the factory code out of it. I had to replace the battery in my key pad, ford did not have the battery and did not know where to get it so i ordered it online. works great now.
