Bed rail caps

Where's the best place to get bed rail and tailgate caps for these trucks?

I want to get some for mine, still unsure whether I want to go plastic or aluminum diamondplate (probably diamondplate to match my toolbox), but I'm just wondering where you guys found the best prices?

Plastic caps do as much damage as the over the rail bed liners do. I'd avoid that type and get metal.

Get extra double sided tape for the metal ones. Every store has em here . $89 no shipping for 8 ft 90's F150 .

Check local part vendors farm stores Then the on line sites . I bet the locals can beat them

My metal bed caps have done quite a bit of damage. If I ever take them off the sides would have to be repainted. Mine also have faded pretty bad; this started probably 2 or 3 years after I got them.

I have EGR composite plastic caps that I got from JCWhitney for 60 bucks and the tailgate cap was 20 bucks. They fit nicely. I previously had the aluminum diamond plate caps. They pinched the bedside and destroyed the paint. I had to repair/remove rust and repaint the bed rails before I installed the new caps. The plastic ones I have I don't think will do that much damage, because they hug but don't pinch the rails. I didn't use the double sided foam tape. I removed that and used several tubes of black RTV. I'm sure the aluminum ones are stronger and they would look better with your tool box though. The aluminum ones do become dull rather quickly.
