I second Ron's choice , the Overboost Annihilator ,it's a regulator that doesn't allow a high boost signal to the map sensor and has NO bleed off tube so you don't lose any boost.
You may still get a code after installing the overboost annihilator just so you know. Obviously it won't be an overboost code it will most likely be an ICP code-p1211.
thanks rick. do you like the dp tuner or would you do anything different if you could start over? i actually wanted to run a banks bighead wastegate with the maximizer thinking it would hold the boost and possibly (more hopefully, really) allow it to build boost before blowing off. i have already increased the intake(not k&n) and went to 4" turbo back exhaust.

I like the DP-TUNER in my truck. It does everything I want, but I do have live tuning. DP-TUNER is also the SPONSOR of this forum you are in, so that means they are here to stay. Call Jody, Diane, or James can help you with the selection of tunes.
If you want to hold boost better, and gain a little as well, just get in there and shorten the wastegate actuator rod a turn. It will put more pressure on the seat of the wg and keep it from creeping open. I did two turns on mine, and it was a little too much for the stock tune, but it ran great. I could get 20-22psi on the stock tune. No need to waste the money on the bighead.
I forgot, I have the DP TUNER F6
its great. Just call Jody and he will email you a new tune and your good to go.
You can even test out tunes for free.
Although if you just want one tune, I think jody can just reflash the ecu for you. I think it was only 75 dollars if i remember right.
